An AI vending machine is a camera cooler that works out the charge from video. Prices run from $2,950 to $10,225, and some sellers add 5 to 7 cents a sale for the recognition (10 cents at VMFS with its weight add-on).

The Vendera Core sold for $3,695 to $3,995 at four US resellers on October 3, 2026. Three list $40 a month and 5.85% processing; GeniusVend lists $43 and 5.85% plus $0.22. Warranties differ by seller.
On a $2.45 card sale, published processing fees run from 12 cents with PayRange to 36 cents on a Vendera cooler bought through GeniusVend. Every published rate for card readers and smart coolers, worked out at three ticket sizes.
365's webstore lists the PicoCooler Vision at $7,929 and the CV Vantage at $5,900. Fees, the $10 default hold, flagged-transaction review, age verification, warranty, and the Cantaloupe deal.
Cantaloupe's Engage reader is $329 with a $9.95 monthly fee and 5.95% processing. G11 prices and the 12-month term, Cantaloupe One rentals, Smart Store 600 and 700 costs, and 365's ownership.
Nayax's VPOS Touch reader is $399 on its US shop and $349.95 at D&S Vending, plus $9.99 a month on Nayax's plan. Nayax does not publish its processing rate; resellers list 5.95%.
Byte Technology's Smart Fridge is $5,500 and the XL $7,000, with $500 off each at three or more. The $125 monthly fee, 2.5% + $0.20 per transaction, $0.15 RFID tags, monthly payouts, and the 41°F lockdown.
A Micromart Smart Fridge or Pantry is $6,295, or $5,995 each for three or more, and the Freezer is $6,995. The lease, the $60 monthly fee and 4% + $0.10 per sale, the upfront charges, and the places where Micromart's own pages conflict.
Micromart leases its smart fridge at $230 a month for 36 months, $8,580 with the buyout against $6,295 cash. Who rents and leases machines to operators, the total over each term, and how California taxes a lease.
Vendtek lists SandStar's VRK at $5,995 and A&M at $6,095. SandStar's own pages and its resellers quote different fees and warranty terms; each one is below with its source.
Selectivend lists the Spectra Launch at $5,395. Four of the five Spectra pages on Vending.com list a $64.95 monthly fee plus 5.75% and a $0.05 "True AI fee" per sale; warranties run three to seven years by model.
Each method fails in a documented way. Cameras miss small items, weight trays misread a wrong-shelf putback, and RFID costs 15 cents an item.
Before the door unlocks, the cooler holds $10 to $15 on the shopper's card. Release depends on the bank; vendors quote from 24 hours to seven days, and shoppers who mistake it for an overcharge call the operator.
A Weimi smart fridge is $2,179 to $2,473 as a factory order and a Haha is $2,999 from a US warehouse. Freight, duty, the refrigerant rule, certification, and warranty sit in the gap.
